My first technical role was Tier 1 support at Cellcom. Every call was a small investigation: check connectivity, rule out DNS, look at the Wi-Fi and the home equipment, then fix it or escalate it with clear notes. Handling a steady volume of these taught me to stay calm under time pressure and to document properly.
Those habits are exactly what a SOC runs on, so I went deeper. I completed a Blue Team course on the SOC track at Cyber Gain Center, where I practised in training labs with the SIEM platforms Splunk and QRadar, analysed traffic in Wireshark, used the FortiGate firewall, and practised Active Directory administration in Windows and Linux labs. I also earned the EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst (C|SA) credential.
I’m now looking for an entry-level role in a SOC, help desk, desktop support or NOC team, where I can keep learning on real systems. Alongside security, I build websites using AI-assisted development tools.
